Flower Care After Delivery
Place the bouquet in water without delay, trim the stems and keep the flowers away from heat. Vases, boxes and baskets require different care.

Prepare the vase
Wash the vase with detergent and rinse it. Residue and old water encourage bacterial growth.
Refresh the cut
Cut 1-2 cm at an angle with a sharp knife or secateurs. Do not crush the stem.
Clear the lower stems
Remove every leaf that would sit below the water line.
Choose the location
Keep the bouquet away from direct sun, radiators, air conditioning and ripening fruit.
Daily care
Bouquet in a vase
- Replace the water and wash the vase daily.
- Refresh the cut daily or every other day.
- Keep every stem end in water and top it up if the level falls.
- If a sachet is included, follow the dosage on the packet.
Box or basket with floral foam
- The stems are fixed in wet floral foam. Do not pull them out or turn the box over.
- Check the foam moisture every day.
- Pour directly onto the foam, not onto buds or wrapping.
- Add it gradually and stop before water runs from the base.
Flowers commonly used in bouquets
Roses
They need enough water and a fresh cut. Remove leaves below the water line.
Hydrangeas
They drink heavily. Check the level often and refresh the cut if the flower head starts to droop.
Tulips
They continue growing after cutting. Use cool water and a tall vase to support the stems.
Chrysanthemums
They keep better in clean water with no leaves below the water line.
Flower care questions
Should I remove the wrapping?
Remove transport film. The tie holding the bouquet shape may remain if the stems stand freely in water.
What should I do if the flowers droop?
Replace the water, wash the vase, refresh the cut and move the bouquet somewhere cool. If the issue was present at delivery, send us photographs.
Can I add sugar or aspirin?
We do not recommend homemade mixtures. Use clean water or commercial flower food at the manufacturer dosage.
