Start with the carnation colour and the size of bouquet you want. White flowers can be tied with a ribbon or placed in coloured wrapping; cream and peach carnations can be combined with flowers in similar shades. Look at the whole bouquet photograph and read the flower list to see what is included.
Carnations and dianthus: the names explained
Carnations belong to the genus Dianthus. In MURCI bouquets, the name dianthus appears on white, pink, cream and peach carnations. When choosing, check the colour, stem count and flower shape. To repeat a particular bouquet, send its photograph before confirming your order.
Standard and spray carnations
A standard carnation has one main flower per stem, while a spray carnation has several smaller blooms. The same stem count can therefore make bouquets of different sizes. If you need spray carnations, mention this when ordering and confirm their availability for your date.
White, pink, cream and peach bouquets
Choose a bouquet of 11 white carnations or options of 15 stems in white, pink and cream. There are also combinations of pink and white carnations. Compare the flower colour with the wrapping: pink paper in a photograph does not mean the flowers are pink too. Discuss any particular shade you need before ordering.
Carnations with lisianthus, tanacetum or stipa
For a bouquet with different flowers, look at the lisianthus combination, cream carnations with tanacetum, or the pink and white carnation mix with tanacetum. There are also options with stipa. Read each product's flower list: compare the carnation count separately from the other flowers.
Stem counts and bouquet prices
Price depends on the flower quantity, variety, wrapping and other elements included. For red carnations, check whether the selected option is 10, 20 or 40 stems and look at its price. For a mixed bouquet, compare the whole flower selection. If you have a fixed budget, give the amount for flowers and your preferred delivery option.
Carnations for a birthday or for your mum
Choose colours the recipient likes. For a gift at work or for a teacher, also consider how the bouquet will be carried and which vase it will go in. If you want lisianthus or other flowers added, send an example and agree the flower selection.
Ordering, delivery and collection
Send your chosen product, date and recipient address. For delivery today, the team checks the flowers and a courier window before confirming the order. MURCI confirms the total before payment and photographs the finished bouquet before handing it to the courier. Collection is available from 24 Ion Dumeniuc Street once your order is confirmed ready.
Looking after carnations in a vase
Use a clean vase and recut the stems before placing the flowers in water. Remove leaves below the water line, check the level daily and replace the water when dirty. Keep the bouquet away from radiators and direct sunlight. In a mixed bouquet, remove wilted flowers without damaging the remaining stems.
