Bouquet of 9 pastel carnations

Nine carnations in cream, peach and pink make a rounded bouquet with full, ruffled petals. The shades sit close together, making this a choice for someone who prefers a soft pastel palette to strong colour contrasts. Two stems of decorative Stipa grass add fine, airy lines between the dense blooms.

Translucent white wrapping and pale pink paper carry the colours through to the outside of the bouquet, with a white MURCI ribbon around the stems. These are cut flowers for a vase at home. The understated colours suit a personal gift, a thank-you or a gentle floral accent in a room.

The bouquet contains 9 carnations (dianthus) and 2 stems of decorative Stipa grass. Wrapping and ribbon are included. Carnations remain the focus, with the fine grass adding texture rather than another type of flower.

Remove the wrapping, trim a little off the stems at an angle and take off any leaves that would sit below the waterline. Use a clean vase, replace the water daily and rinse the vase. Keep the bouquet away from direct sunlight, radiators and ripening fruit.
