9 Country Blues garden roses

Nine Country Blues garden roses make a bouquet with plenty to look at up close. The flowers have a deep raspberry-pink colour, softening to a dusty lilac tint on the outer petals. Small shifts in shade from one bloom to the next give the bouquet depth while keeping it within one colour palette.

The shape is just as much a part of its appeal. Each flower has a cupped outline and a densely folded centre, with the petals opening into broader, rippled edges. That many-layered, peony-like form gives Country Blues its full appearance. The nine large blooms are arranged so their individual shapes remain visible, from the tighter folds at the centre to the loose waves around the outside.

This is a single-variety bouquet of nine rose stems with their own leaves, without added flowers or foliage. Clear film with a ribbed edge keeps the stems and flower outlines visible. A white MURCI ribbon and a pink ribbon finish the bouquet without covering the roses. It suits someone drawn to richly coloured roses with an open, ruffled shape and a simple wrapped presentation.

The bouquet is made to go into a vase. Remove the wrapping, trim the stem ends and place the roses in a clean vase of water. Keep any leaves below the waterline out of the vase, change the water regularly and position the flowers away from direct sunlight and sources of heat.
