Designer basket with roses and cotton

Peach-toned Kahala roses sit alongside smaller spray-rose rosettes and pale lisianthus in this basket arrangement. Cotton introduces a texture distinct from the petals, while eucalyptus and pistacia frame the flowers with foliage. The light woven basket has a handle and a white ribbon falling over the weave.

The composition contains 7 Kahala roses, 5 spray-rose stems, 5 lisianthus stems, 3 cotton stems, 6 eucalyptus stems and 5 pistacia stems. Branching plants are counted by stem, not by individual blooms or cotton bolls. The full view shows the broad outline around the handle; the close-up brings out the cream, peach and pink tones.

Place the basket on a stable surface without transferring the flowers to a vase. If they are secured in floral foam, slowly top up water at the stem bases, keeping the cotton, ribbon and basket dry. Leave the stems in place and keep the arrangement away from sun and heating.
